The North Okanagan Labour Council invites candidates running for mayor, council, regional district, or school board trustee to complete our 2026 municipal endorsement questionnaire. Anyone in the Penticton, Kelowna, West Kelowna, Peachland, Vernon, Lake Country, Armstrong, Lumby, Enderby, Grand Forks & surrounding areas are welcome to submit to us an application for endorsement. If you are unsure if your area is covered by our Labour Council please contact us.
Our endorsement process is open to all prospective candidates and is designed to help the Labour Council’s Political Action Committee assess candidates’ positions on the issues that matter to working people and their families. These include public services, affordability, housing, good jobs, fair wages, equity, Truth and Reconciliation, public education, transit, and the protection of publicly funded and publicly delivered services.
Candidates are asked to answer in their own words so members and the public can better understand their values, experience, community involvement, and priorities if elected.
The endorsement period opens on August 4, 2026, and we’d be happy to recieve your completed surveys at any time after that date. Please send them to both of these emails:

Completed questionnaires must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2026. The Labour Council’s endorsed candidates will be announced publicly on October 8, 2026.
