Kelowna Municipal Candidates Meet & Greet Night – Sept 27, 2026 at Laurel Packing House

Join the North Okanagan Labour Council on the evening of Sunday September 27 for an opportunity to connect with municipal candidates running for city council, regional district, and school district positions in the Kelowna and surrounding area.
For the Public: Free Admission
Doors will open at 6pm and there is no need to register in advance.
To provide you the most free time to connect with your candidates, programming for the evening is informal with a brief welcome from our President Rob Austin. Rotating Candidate spotlights will occur every 5 to 10 minutes throughout the evening giving candidates a few moments to deliver short prepared speeches at their tables. The schedule of the spotlights will be in your program. The majority of the evening outside of that will be self-directed by participants with plenty of opportunity to talk to who they wish! Light snacks and refreshments will be available. Please note the venue is wheelchair accessible and parking is sometimes limited downtown. Lastly, given the indoor space we ask that participants refrain from wearing scents or fragrances.

For Candidates: Please Register in Advance!
All candidates officially running for any municipal, regional, or school district positions in the Thompson-Okanagan are eligible to attend. The cost to reserve your table is $25 and the proceeds will help fund the costs of the event (please note – no profit will be made by the North Okanagan Labour Council in hosting the event). Two chairs, one table, and a tablecloth will be provided; anything else must be brought in by candidates themselves. Please limit materials to visual ones that do not make an abundance of noise as the tables will be close together. Additionally, please ensure any devices requiring power can run off of a battery as we cannot guarantee the availability of wired power.
Please register below by Friday September 18, 2026. We will do our best to find space for late registrants but cannot guarantee a table will still be available.

Candidates – You can arrive to the event up to 1 hour early (5pm) to set up your table as you wish and to get yourself situated. Please allow our ushers to show you to your table and get you anything you require, or that would make you more comfortable. Please email us any special requests in advance.
Candidates are encouraged to stay for the entirety of the event wherever possible (9pm), however our only requirement is that you clean up your area and take out what you bring in!
